Macintosh poster 2021 – Amira Rose Davis

This year’s speaker is Dr. Amira Rose Davis, Assistant Professor of African American Studies and History at Penn State. Dr. Davis works at the intersections of race, gender, sports and politics. She is one of the co-hosts of the popular feminist sports podcast, Burn It All Down, and is also a regular contributor to outlets such as NPR, ESPN and the BBC.

Her Macintosh Lecture is titled: “Not just here to entertain: Past, present and future of athletic activism.”
