My plans for after graduation is to pursue a Masters in Social Work at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto. In my second year, I intend to pursue a specialization in Mental Health and Health in hopes of one day working with marginalized communities to enhance their physical, mental and social wellbeing in hopes of improving their psychosocial functioning. After completing my undergraduate degree in Health Studies, I will be working full-time as a Marketing, Sales, and Data Associate at Canarmony, a high tech startup software firm located at Queen’s Innovation Park that specializes in smart scheduling tools for healthcare. Eventually, I plan to return to do more schooling and obtain my Master’s In Health Administration (MHA) or an MBA concentration in healthcare, with the hopes of one day pursuing a career in health care management. I believe that the competencies, knowledge, and skills I have developed and gained through the Health Studies program will put me on the right track to achieve my goals, and for that I am thankful for all the opportunities and experiences during my time at SKHS. After completing my Honours Health Studies degree at Queen’s, I plan to gain employment in British Columbia’s ski industry as an instructor for a season! Through this, I will be able to meet new people, work outdoors and decide what I would like to pursue in the coming years. M.K – BAH MAJ HLTH

As part of the Concurrent Education program at Queen’s I will be returning to complete my Bachelor of Education. The Health Studies program has deepened my understanding and knowledge of the multitude of factors that affect our health. I believe that Health Studies has provided me the tools to properly address the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of my students. This summer, I’m working on digital accessibility at TD Bank to ensure customers and employees alike can have equitable experiences with TD technologies. As of this fall, I’ll be continuing my education at Queen’s by beginning my Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree! E.A. – BAH MAJ HLTH
My plans for after graduation include completing my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food at Ryerson University to become a Registered Dietitian. During this time, I am working with the dietary team at a retirement home that includes independent living, memory care, and long-term care. C.B. – BAH MAJ HLTH

Come September 2018 I will be travelling to beautiful British Columbia to study Global Health, as part of Simon Fraser University’s Master of Public Health program. The past four years at Queen’s has been the most exhilarating, yet challenging, filled with so many laughs, tears, and friendships and I cannot begin to thank Queen’s, and the amazing individuals I have met along the way, for shaping my undergrad to be the way it had been!
