Movement and Health Mini-Stream

The Movement and Health mini-stream has been developed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the effects that physical activity and sedentary behaviour have on health and well-being and the determinants of these movement behaviours.  Students in this mini-stream will have multiple opportunities to participate in, plan, implement and evaluate physical activity programs in school and community settings.

This stream is only open to Health Studies students in an Honours Major or Medial degree plan. 

Application Requirements

Students apply at the end of second year for entry into Level 1.

  1. Attend the Mini-Stream Information Session on Wednesday, March 6th, from 10:00 – 11:00am in KINE 107  (28 Division St.).  Did you miss this session?  Check out the Movement and  Health Information Session 2019 slides.
  2. To apply, students must submit an application by email to the SKHS Internship Coordinator ( by Friday, March 22nd at 4:00 p.m.  Late applications are not accepted.
  • Applications must include a current resume and a statement of intent that explains why you are interested in pursuing this mini-stream.
