Stacey completed her BScH in Human Kinetics and MSc in Exercise, Nutrition and Metabolism at the University of Guelph. Her MSc research looked at the effects of dietary nitrate supplementation on oxygen consumption during submaximal exercise in well-trained female ringette athletes. Here at Queen’s University, Stacey is a PhD student in the Human Vascular Control Laboratory working with Dr. Michael Tschakovsky. Her research is focused on the coordination of the various mechanisms involved in the cardiovascular response to exercise during transitions in exercise intensity.
