After four years at Queen’s University as a Health Studies major, I will be attending Brock University for a Masters of Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Upon the completion of this program, I hope to write the board examination to become a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and begin my professional career thereafter creating behavioural plans for children with intellectual disabilities. I am eternally grateful for the SKHS staff, students, and faculty who have facilitated my academic growth and inspiration to pursue the path I have chosen. M.T – BAH MAJ HLTH
After graduation, I will be entering the Occupational Therapy program at the University of Toronto. I discovered that this was the career path I wanted to pursue due to my involvement in the Exercise, Disability and Aging Mini-Stream. I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life and I am so grateful for the support I have received from the SKHS throughout the years. M.V. – BAH MAJ HLTH
After completing my undergraduate degree in Health Studies, I will be returning to Queen’s University for the Master of Urban and Regional Planning program. With this program I will be able to apply knowledge learned in my undergraduate studies through the Health and Social Planning concentration area. S.B. – BAH MAJ HLTH
Next year I will enter the Juris Doctor Degree at Bond University in Australia. Over the course of four years at Queen’s I found a passion for research, however, I was never sure how I wanted to further this passion following graduation. The summer of 2016, I took a job at a law firm that specialized in medical malpractice and personal injury. During my time as an employee, I was invited to be involved with certain medical malpractice cases that allowed me to apply many of the skills I developed during my time at Queen’s. Ultimately, this position, as well as the invaluable skills I acquired through my education at Queen’s, have lead me to pursue an education and career that I could not be more excited for!
