The School of Kinesiology and Health Studies has a long history of working and collaborating with community partners. Community partnerships are central to our School’s mission and are beneficial to community members, current students, faculty and more. We work with individuals of all ages, ranging from children to older adults and across many settings, including local school systems, not-for-profits, health clinics, and athletic teams. We have many diverse types of community collaborations, but overall our aim is to promote the health and well-being to all of those involved. In addition to faculty members who conduct funded research projects within many communities, we also have a large number of students in our School who are actively engaged in placements, community-based projects, research and student-driven initiatives. As a school, we are strongly committed to maintaining old and fostering new partnerships in the community.
