TA applications will be considered in the following priority order (per the PSAC 901 Collective Agreement):
- Priority Group A: funding eligible graduate students (full-time year 1-2 Master’s and year 1-4 PhD students) are given first priority for TA positions. To apply, submit your response to the survey above. No other information is required.
- Priority Group B: graduate students in year 3+ Master’s and year 5+ PhD are encouraged to also submit applications, as these will be considered as second priority.
TEACHING POSITION AVAILABLE – 24/25
KNPE 254* - Biomechanical Analysis of Human Movement
The School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen’s University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates interested in teaching a course in Biomechanical Analysis of Human Movement (KNPE 254*). This is an on-campus course that includes a lecture and lab component with an expected enrolment of approximately 195 students. Candidates should have a M.A., M.Sc. or Ph.D, and teaching experience at the university level in Kinesiology or a related discipline. This is a winter term appointment for the period of January 1, 2025 to April 30th, 2025 with classes in session from January 6, 2025 to April 4th, 2025 (followed by the final assessment period).

Course Description:
KNPE 254 Biomechanical Analysis of Human Movement Units: 3.00
Students will use biomechanical principles that describe how forces cause movement, from whole-body motions to tissue level processes, in order to solve problems in human movement. Biomechanical techniques and tools will be discussed, with a focus on applications in clinical movement disorders and performance in sport and exercise.
Learning Hours: 117 (36 Lecture, 9 Laboratory, 72 Private Study)
Requirements: Prerequisite Level 2 or above and registration in a KINE Plan and KNPE 153/3.0. Recommended ANAT 315/3.0.
